Funding
Our Chaplaincy currently operates four churches in Provence, all from Marseille.
Whilst some of our clergy are based on one or other of our churches, our four priests, including our Chaplain, do move throughout the Chaplaincy area, each offering church services and pastoral care as and where needed.
Whilst we have our church in Marseille for which we are responsible, we also rent other churches for our services, so we need to fund all of the on-going costs as well as all repairs attenuating to our old church, as also the cost of the organists ... where we can find them !
As a result, our annual expenditure budget is dependent on both church collections - currently small due to the Covid restrictions and concerns - and from donations, whether regular or one-off.
