WORKSHOP

Contemporary Palestinian Dabke Workshop:
"Contemporary Palestinian Dabke is a technique I’ve been practicing for the past 3 years.
Questioning all layers of Identities; nationality, religion, gender and more
Through the Dabke and its repetition we move our energies as individuals but also as a
group. We jump and groove while holding hands in a circle, seeing and supporting each
body as if we’re a tribe that lives in this period of time. I'm using the power of the circle
structure as a ritual to connect to ourselves first and then to each other, to humanity, in order
to heal through an ethical indigence dance."
