During the 1st confinement, Stephen, David and Vianney had this crazy dream, the crossing is planned: Sunday September 12 at 3.20 am
It is a story of friendship and a common taste for challenges.
We are 3 friends and live in Dublin. We have set ourselves the goal of raising € 3,000 to support the cause of children with Down's syndrome .
In this crossing we will have a thought for Malo, Paul, Sarah and all the other children and adults with an intellectual disability as well as their families.
It is a cause that touches us particularly and personally and for which we decided to swim in relay for more than 12 hours, without wetsuits and without outside help.
Origin of the project
From this unprecedented period of the 1st confinement was born this common and completely crazy dream! We have taken on this sporting and mental challenge to swim relay the English Channel in support of those whose mental health does not always allow them to live like you and us !
What will the money collected be used for?
The donations collected will be donated to the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation, the first funder of research on trisomy 21.
Your generosity will strengthen the concrete therapeutic hopes carried by the research of the Jérôme Lejeune Foundation at the service of the patients of the Jérôme Lejeune Institute. These donations will allow the Foundation to fulfill its threefold mission: Seek, Heal and Defend.
Recognized as being of public utility since 1996, your donations are tax exempt up to 60%. For example: your donation of 50 € really only costs 17 € after tax reduction (reduction of 33 € up to 20% of taxable income).
We are a trio : David, Stephen and Vianney
