Qui sommes-nous ?

L’AiR Arts* is a not-for-profit organisation (une association à but non lucratif soumise à la loi 1901) with a mission to support intercultural exchange through international arts residency programs. In collaboration with leading arts institutions and professionals, our residency programs support intercultural exchange, research, professional development and creation – while promoting diversity, inclusion and international understanding through artistic and cultural heritage.

L’AiR Arts residency program grounds its commitment to contemporary arts within a historical perspective. Founded in 2016, L'AiR Arts was launched with the European Heritage Days / Journe´es du Patrimoine as an “Atelier sur Seine” artist residency, located near Fontainebleau at the original studio of the French-Algerian painter, Etienne Dinet. In 2018, L’AiR Arts moved to Paris to introduce curated group residency programs in partnership with an international exchange center, FIAP Jean Monnet, with a similar mission to foster cross-cultural exchanges among people from different countries. Located in Montparnasse, known as a historic hub for international artists during the 20th century, L’AiR Arts program is dedicated to the intercultural artistic exchange as the legacy of the École de Paris.

?In 2020, L’AiR Arts in partnership with Cite´ Falguie`re Association has initiated cultural heritage project of preserving and restoring the last atelier of the prominent artists community of Cite´ Falguie`re. Keeping its original purpose and the name - Atelier 11 now operates as an International Arts Research Residency. A new emblematic home for L'AiR Arts, it welcomes local and international professionals for solo and duo projects, that run parallel to international group programs, partner residencies and events open to a broader community.
