Lors de ces ateliers, l'adulte adopte une position d'observateur sécurisant pendant que l'enfant explore ses habiletés. Il choisit parmi les dizaines de plateaux à thème celui qu'il souhaite investir. A son rythme, avec ses capacité, et surtout avec plaisir de faire seul.
L'intérêt de faire ce type d'atelier en groupe inter-âge est de nourrir la curiosité de l'enfant.
