La Vallée des Saints a vocation à accueillir tous les Saints et Saintes (dont les vénérables et les bienheureux) qui ont marqué la Bretagne et les Bretons et pour lesquels on trouve une trace en Bretagne au travers du patrimoine matériel et/ou immatériel.
Une statue pour Thérèse : un siècle de sainteté à célébrer
En 2025, nous fêterons les 100 ans de la canonisation de Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux, la "Petite Fleur" dont l’amour simple et profond continue d’éclairer le monde. Pour honorer ce centenaire, nous lançons un projet audacieux : la création d’une statue monumentale à son effigie, appelée à s’élever pour l’éternité dans la Vallée des Saints, en Bretagne, ce lieu unique où la foi et l’histoire se rencontrent.
Un projet en trois actes (dates prévisionnelles)
- Création : Le chantier débutera le 1er octobre 2025, jour de la fête de Thérèse, pour une œuvre achevée d’ici la fin de l’année.
- Exposition : En 2026, la statue sera dévoilée à Lisieux, berceau de la sainte, avant son voyage final.
- Installation éternelle : Elle rejoindra ensuite la Vallée des Saints, où elle veillera sur les générations futures.
Pourquoi cette œuvre ?
Cette statue ne sera pas seulement un hommage à Thérèse, mais un symbole vivant de sa "petite voie" : une invitation à aimer dans la simplicité, à faire confiance, à oser la sainteté au quotidien. Haute de plusieurs mètres, sculptée dans la pierre bretonne, elle portera son message d’espérance au cœur d’un site déjà riche de plus de 200 géants sacrés.
Objectif : 27 000 euros (première étape : création de l'oeuvre)
Ce budget couvrira la création de l’œuvre par un sculpteur talentueux. Chaque euro compte :
- 10 €, c’est un fragment de pierre taillé.
- 50 €, c’est un détail du visage de Thérèse qui prend vie.
- 100 € ou plus, c’est une part d’éternité dans ce projet unique.

In 2025, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the canonization of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, the "Little Flower," whose simple and profound love continues to illuminate the world. To honor this centenary, we are launching a bold project: the creation of a monumental statue in her likeness, destined to rise for eternity in the Valley of the Saints in Brittany—a unique place where faith and history intertwine.
A Project in Three Acts (Tentative Dates)
- Creation: The work will begin on October 1, 2025—Thérèse’s feast day—with the statue completed by the end of the year.
- Exhibition: In 2026, the statue will be unveiled in Lisieux, the saint’s birthplace, before its final journey.
- Eternal Installation: It will then join the Valley of the Saints, standing watch over future generations.
Why This Work?
This statue will be more than a tribute to Thérèse—it will be a living symbol of her "little way": an invitation to love simply, to trust deeply, and to embrace holiness in daily life. Standing several meters tall, carved from Breton stone, it will carry her message of hope to the heart of a site already home to over 200 sacred giants.

Description of expenditure items
Le coût de l’œuvre comprend l’ensemble des charges inhérentes à sa réalisation dont notamment :
- L'achat du granit ;
- L'acheminement et la manutention du bloc de granit (hauteur moyenne : 4m ; poids moyen : 20 tonnes) ;
- La rémunération d'un sculpteur (sélection en cours) ;
- L'achat du matériel dédié à la sculpture monumentale et à la sécurité ;
- Les frais administratifs de l’association (recherche de dons, coordination, communication et signalétique, déplacements …).

The cost of the work includes all expenses related to its creation, including but not limited to:
- The purchase of the granite;
- The transportation and handling of the granite block (average height: 4 meters; average weight: 20 tons);
- The remuneration of a sculptor (selection in progress);
- The purchase of equipment dedicated to monumental sculpture and safety;
- The administrative costs of the association (fundraising efforts, coordination, communication, signage, travel, etc.).
