La Jai Jagat : qu'est-ce que c'est ?
Le 2 octobre 2019, à l’occasion du 150e anniversaire de la naissance du Mahatma Gandhi, une ‘Marche globale’ pour la justice et la paix, Jai Jagat 2020, a quitté Delhi pour rejoindre Genève un an plus tard.
Cette marche non violente sera rejointe par des milliers de participants tout au long de son parcours d’environ 10.000 km.
Concrètement, la campagne Jai Jagat, c’est :
- Une grande Marche mondiale de Delhi (2/10/19) à Genève (26/09/20),
- Des marches convergentes vers Genève depuis l’Europe et ailleurs,
- Des événements pour interpeller, informer et débattre le long des marches et ailleurs.

10 000 km pour la justice et la paix
Face aux crises économiques, sociales et environnementales qui s’aggravent, se lève partout une volonté de changement en profondeur de nos modes de vie.
La campagne Jai Jagat(’Une Planète pour Tous. Tous pour la Planète’) œuvre à un monde bienveillant pour l’ensemble du vivant, où « personne n’est laissé pour compte ».
Imaginez des milliers de femmes et d’hommes, de militant.e.s des droits sociaux et d’activistes climatiques venu.e.s d’Asie, d’Afrique, d’Amérique Latine, d’Europe. Imaginez cette foule colorée, déterminée et pacifiste entrer dans Genève, la ville qui symbolise le pouvoir politique et économique international, pour dire haut et fort : ça suffit! Imaginez notre force collective qui fait le lien entre justice sociale et justice climatique. Imaginons et faisons-le, ensemble !
Chaque pays sera traversé en accord avec les réseaux locaux qui établiront les étapes de la Marche et organiseront des événements. Un noyau de 50 marcheurs sur toute la Marche (25 Indiens, 25 internationaux) et des centaines d’autres marcheurs se joignant à elle tout au long.

In the wake of the deepening economic, social and environmental crises, everywhere grows the desire for profound change in our way of life.
The campaign “Jai Jagat“, which means "One Planet All People", is working to achieve a benevolent World for the whole of the living, where "no one is left behind".
Imagine thousands of women and men, social activists and climate activists from Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe. Imagine this colorful, determined and pacifist crowd entering Geneva, the city that symbolizes international political and economic power, to say loud and clear: that's enough! Imagine our collective strength that links social justice and climate justice. Imagine and let's do it together !
Each country will be crossed in agreement with the local networks which will establish the stages of the March and will organize events. A core of 50 walkers throughout the Marche (25 Indians, 25 internationals) and hundreds of other walkers joining her throughout.
Les acteurs de ce mouvement
À l’origine, la Jai Jagat est initiée par le mouvement Ekta Parishad qui réunit des centaines de milliers d’organisations de paysans et de minorités indiennes. Après avoir organisé de précédentes marches en Inde (2007 et 2012), cette fois-ci le message est porté à l’échelle mondiale pour des besoins qui concernent tous les peuples, avec l’appui de différents partenaires associatifs et institutionnels du monde entier qui se sont alliés à ce projet.
Une association à vocation internationale (établie à Bruxelles) récolte les ressources financières et humaines nécessaires à permettre l’organisation d’une grande partie de la campagne internationale et de la ‘Marche Globale’.
Une Coordination européenne organise la campagne en Europe.
En France, de nombreuses associations, mouvements et ONG ont rejoint la dynamique, comme, ActionAid France, le CRID, la Fondation France Libertés, SOL Alternatives Agroécologiques et Solidaires, le MAN, S!lence, le Mouvement Pour la Paix, Alternatiba, l’Arche NonViolence et Spiritualité, la Coordination Eau etc. et des collectifs locaux relaient la campagne et les marches.

The actors of this movement
Originally, Jai Jagat was initiated by the Ekta Parishad movement, which brings together hundreds of thousands of peasant and Indian minority organizations. After having organized previous marches in India (2007 and 2012), this time the message is spread on a global scale for needs that concern all peoples, with the support of various associative and institutional partners from all over the world who joined this project.
An international association (established in Brussels) is collecting financial and human resources needed to organize a large part of the international campaign and the 'Global March'.
A European coordination committee is organizing the campaign in Europe.
