To raise the awareness of kids about the shortage of access to clean water in the world.
Presentation of the project
In our Outreach group at the British Council in Paris we wanted to support a charity by organising an event with our bilingual students. We chose Soldarité Internationel,. We felt that their work in crises zones around the world bringing clean accessible water and hygiene, a problem that effects children, often hindering their access to education, and therefore, preventing them from escaping the cycle of poverty, was an issue that we could work on with our students, and heighten their awareness.
How will the funds be used?
Solidarité International works in sixteen countries throughout the world. The funds will be used to support Solidarité International's actions to improve hygiene and access to clean water.
There are four groups of bilingual students between the ages of 8 to 10. The teachers involved are Anna Mcbride, George Wilson, Louisa Assad and Roy Stafford.
