General objective

The general objective of Sponsorship Phoenix is the reintegration of vulnerable people in Burkina Faso who have been excluded by cultural constraints or poverty against their will from any acceptable social life. It is to make them ‘reborn’ after an ordeal that has hurt them and made them marginalized.

Which supported project ?

Today it is the ‘SOS Filles Mères’ (means SOS Mothers Girls) project at the initiative of Toriyaba. It is aimed at very young girls who have become mothers without wanting to. Cultural constraints then led them to banishment, or event worse. They then left to live on the street with their baby. It is experienced by these victims as a profound tragedy. They are welcomed by the ‘SOS Filles Mères’ local association in Ouagadougou, which hosts them for their security, ensure their social and professional reintegration, and restore their self-esteem.

Today Toriyaba finance food for mothers/girls, center guard salary, building renovation or construction.

The most urgent today is to finance the boundary wall of an 800 square meters land. Then this land will be used for gardening. The cost estimates is 3000,00 €
