Dear Friends & Family,
I have stupidly entered the Marathon du Mont-Blanc 2019. This mountain marathon is a monster with over 2700m of vertical height and over 1500m of height loss. That's the equivalent of running up Ben Nevis twice and down Scafell Pike twice! No matter how hard it gets, i'll have to keep going because my wife Louise will be running it along side me, so failure is not an option! Just to add to the pressure i'll have to make sure I finish specific distances before the cut off times! I'll be battling high altitudes, difficult weather conditions, night time, wind, cold and rain or snow,
I'm running for a fantastic charity raising money for Lysosomale Diseases. Lysosomal diseases are 53 rare genetic diseases mainly affecting children. They lead to physical and neurological disabilities. Since 1990, the organisation VML has been helping families affected by this terrible disease and financing International Scientific Research.
So please make a donation, no matter how small and I will do my best to finish the 2019 Mont Blanc Marathon and raise as much money for these children as possible.
